The National Association of Women Artists proudly presents its 136th Anniversary Annual Exhibition at Leonovich Gallery, in NYC. My painting, Lady in Grotto, is included.
The Annual Show is only open to NAWA's Signature Members. NAWA was founded in 1889 to provide female artists in NYC with a platform to exhibit their work in America's cultural center. It has grown and includes artists from across the United States.This year's exhibition will be judged by three renowned jurors for over $13,000 in awards for sculpture, painting, collage, photography and more: Kimberly Hendrikson (Executive Director, Center for Contemporary Printmaking); Barbara Segal (professor of sculpture, New York Academy of Art and the School of Visual Art in New York); and Elga Wimmer (gallerist, art advisor, writer).
The catalog published in connection with this annual show is archived in prestigious institutions, such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Library of Congress, and many others. The Zimmerli Museum of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ houses the permanent collection of NAWA art, whose members have including some well known artists, such as Audrey Flack, Ethel Schwabacher, Faith Ringgold, and Louise Nevelson.
